Rough water!

Took this Picture Sunday afternoon at the cottage during a strong wind storm. The NOAA weather buoy #45012 20NM North Northeast of Rochester which is owned and maintained by National Data Buoy Center recorded almost 40 knot winds and a 17.7 foot wave at 2:50pm! Now that would make for some fun sea-doin' ! This info can be obtained here ----> http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=45012 This buoy will be pulled out of the lake soon for the winter. Maybe I should add this sight in the linkage section of this web sight!

News Flash

This is how my eyes felt after whooping it up at the annual Halloween bash at Cain's but I think mine were more swollen and bloodshot! I will recommend attending this event to all my "Native Laker" pals next time I see them!

Prize winners

These 2 lucky party goers won prizes at the annual Megan/Scotty Halloween party. You are probably wondering what is so scary about the winner of the scariest prize (person on left). If you were there partaking in the Halloween bafoonery you would know why!

The Daemen Crew Invades Finnan's

Here is the crew from Daemen who came to Lockport to listen to their Professor (pictured here) perform with Route 66. They rocked!

Former City laker

This would have been an excellent picture except for one thing.....can you guess what it is?

Local Priest arrested on Halloween

Actually the priest was a singer/guitar player in the band that played at Finnans, the police officer let him go as long as they played a few Tragically Hip songs in the next set!

Try Again

Not sure why the first one didn't work...but we will try again to upload pictures showing us before the big shindig at Meggers and Scotties place! What Spencer won't do to win a prize! (Which he (she) did win!)

Where is a cop when you need one?

How'd you like to get pulled over by this redhead?

Halloween Party

Here is the getups that we wore to the BIG ANNUAL HALLOWEEN PARTY at Scottie and Meggers place! I hope we didn't embarrass our daughters at all! After all...Spencer was wearing their clothes! We sure missed the Natives! Hope they had fun too...

Pre-Halloween

Vixen and her wife/husband tried on a pre-Halloween getup at Spencer's. Getting ready for the real deal at Scotties tonight! Who knows...this could be the real color of the Vixen's hair...only Joanne knows for sure...know what I mean?

I knew he would go out a buy one!

Learjet

I think Spencer should get his own Lear-60 like this one. This model is a good choice for car dealers they say.

OPC Reunion

Woe was reunited with 4/6 (which I guess is also 2/3) of the OPC Club...whatever that stands for! They drove all the way to Duquesne University for their little get together!

This Sucked!

We were down and out for four day cuz of the Blizzard of Friday the 13th (of October) or whatever they are calling it! But, thanks to the efforts of a few of our dedicated employees and some luck...and some National Grid dudes...we finally got our power back on Monday, October 16th at 4:10 PM or so!

Can Anyone Guess What These Buildings Are?

Let it snow!

We just got a dusting on Sunset, some people were not as lucky. This power pole was one of many to snap under the weight of more than a foot of heavy snow. This pic was taken out in Clarence on Mick's corner. Can anyone tell us how it got that name?

October Lake Effect

The Water Vixen braved this lake effect squall and made it home from school tonight. Pretty slow going approximately 10mph. I hope she doesnt start to hate snow like some people I know!

Wala Here is the Picture that goes with the post below.

Running in Manhattan this weekend!

This is what we will be watching on Satuday. We will be at a great park in the Bronx and the weather is supposed to be 60 and sunny. The only bad part is 14 hours in the car. We parents will do anything for our kids!!!!

Spencerville mascot

Someone sure has a talent for carving pumpkins.....i think it must have been Spencer!

Pumpkin pose

I think a few of us probably had spiders in our hair after this pose, they probably out number the pumkins by alot. It didnt matter as long as we got the cool picture for the blog. I don't think Laura is bothered at all!

Dr. Lisa

Lisa took Dan's blood pressure. (Did you know your blood pressure lowers after you pee?) Wonder if Dan wants to share in some of that Daemen tuition?

Angel Fish Carving Pumpkins!

As you can see, Angel Fish really gets into the pumpkin carving thing! It was a blast for the City Lakers who participated in the pumpkin carving and hot totty drinking thing! Denise was wondering why she can taste so much Rum in the drinks that she makes? I just don't know why. Perhaps Dan can give an explanation similar to that Harvest Moon thing!

Harvest Moon

I really like taking pictures of the Moon! Especially The Harvest Moon, Because the Harvest Moon is no ordinary full moon; it behaves in a special way. Throughout the year the Moon rises, on average, about 50 minutes later each day. But near the autumnal equinox, which comes this year on Sept. 22nd, the day-to-day difference in the local time of moonrise is only 30 minutes! The Moon will rise around sunset tonight--and not long after sunset for the next few evenings. Tonights Moon really lit up the surface of the lake as you can see in the picture above. The extra dose of lighting afforded by the full Moon closest to the equinox is what gives the Harvest Moon its name. Try looking at the Moon tonight when it's rising in the east. You might notice something funny: the low-hanging Moon looks very big. This is a trick of the eye known as the Moon illusion. I'll explain that in another post so you won't want to miss that!

ccccold morning

39 degrees outside this morning at 8am, 50.1 inside! Didnt want to get out of bed. Spotted this ship heading for the St Lawrence, thought it looked cool through a foggy picture window. Could be the last weekend till the spring at the cottage, lets all hope for tons of snow this winter!

Water Vixen takes up archery

The water vixen was bored with knitting so she decided to take up bow hunting. Opening day is approaching so she is getting in some last minute target practice.

Sog and Randy

Rog and Sandy joined in the bafoonery at the Sunset Grille in Wilson Friday night. Had a fun birthday celebration for Mrs. Whip-a-reno...i think she is as old as me now---yikes!

Luscious One Joins the Blog

Luscious Leroy Kevin joins the Blog with Krista. The Blog just wouldn't be the same w/o the Luscious One included. Notice how he "fills" the frame! Zing dada bing!
