National Hot Dog day

Today was National Hot Dog day so we celebrated by,what else...eating hot dogs. Wrapped in bacon and stuffed with cheese was my favorite. According to http://www.hotdog.org/ During Hot Dog Season – Memorial Day to Labor Day – Americans typically consume 7 billion hot dogs – or 818 hot dogs consumed every second during that period. Thats alot of dogs! Wonder how many beers are consumed during beer season.

Command center security system

Bev was attempting to make unauthorized communications from the "command chair" when the autotilt activated and flicked her off like a booger. Nobody was hurt except maybe her eyes due to the many camera flashes popping.

Pre Flight

We had to do a few pre flight items before taking our ride on Sunday including installing seat cushions, testing our helmet communicators and checking the fuel for water.

Whip Was Wright

Spencer has to admit it, the Party in a Box was a big hit at Clam-O this year! He will never question Whip again! From now on it is "WWW"! Zing dada bing!

Time to Hit the Gym...HARD

Spencer was demonstrating how Denise had to blow by Scott on Coach & Ginny's yard (Scott was on the driveway!), when the chair blew out! We had to get lake side to check out Dan flying over in the below Blogged airplane! This all took place as we were re-capping the Top 120 events of Summer 2007! It was another one to remember! Zing dada bing! (Fortunately, Dan was able to reassmeble the chair!)

Dan Gets High

Dan's Highlight Of The Summer Came At the Very End... A once in a lifetime flying adventure with his new best friend, Rob. A Large Crowd gathered at the Hughes Lake House to see if Dan was enjoying his ride, or was ducked out of site with his head between his knees. Looks like he did good. He was very excited to have a communicator built right in to his helmet! I also heard him say he even got to play with the stick. All in all it was a very exciting day for Dan. Definitely a top 10 for the re-cap.

Bank Angle

Took a ride with Rob in his Stearman bi-plane on Sunday afternoon. Rob actually let me fly it! We spotted some city lakers waving to us from shore so we made a rather tight turn to check them out as you can see from the picture. Great day for a plane ride, clear skys and calm winds.

Happy Anniversary (continued!)

See what Ginny got Coach for their anniversary...now they will be able to spy on Outpost #2...not as good as Outpost #2 spies on the Mothership...but spying is spying!

A different light show

A rainbow does not actually exist at a particular location in the sky. It is, instead, an optical illusion whose apparent position depends on the observer's location and the position of the sun. The location of the sun was just right at my location as you can see by this colorful sight spotted over lake "O" on Saturday afternoon

2004 SEA - DOO operators guide

Found some interesting safety tips while browsing my new Sea-Doo operators guide today. It says always wear the proper gear while riding your machine. It recomends eye protection, personal flotaion device, gloves, wet suit and foot protection. This is great advice for all you City Lakers...i'm glad I read this section of the book.

Rochester Rucous

Fun was had by all at Bernard's Grove in Rochester and then at the lovely home of Ray and Caroline. Nothing like a crazy ride through the forest to top off a nice dinner. Dan was laughing so hard after Ray tried to recreate the Walkie Talkie Whistle, he thought he might wet his pants. It went something like this: "Doo-do-do-do-pause-do-do-do-dooooo!"

Tubing Fun on Lake Ontario

The Jacksons and Perrillis, friends of the City Lakers, came to the lake for 4 days. We had lots of fun on the water and someone shot this great picture showing Tera hanging on for dear life. I think she ended up in the water shortly after this shot was taken.

Thunder over Spencerville

It was a great day for aviation enthusiasts, first the air show at KIAG then a few nice passes by our friend Rob in his 1964 HA-200A Saeta Jet. After a few loops and barrel rolls Annette was over heard saying "remind me not to fly with him" i'm not sure why...looked like fun.

Anyone know what KIAG is?

Air Show

This F-18 put on a nice display of speed at the Thunder over Niagara air show on Saturday. The low pass with afterburners was really cool. We left before the Thunderbirds went up to avoid a monster traffic jam. Scott and Frank along as well.
