Water Vixen took the first ride of the summer in her kayak Tuesday evening, it was finally calm enough to take a Sea-Doo as well.

The wine tasting party was a lot of fun Thursday night at Coach & Ginny's. This might become an annual event!

more great weather

more nice weather

This is what it looked like on radar as it came across the Lake
This is what it looked like from outpost 2

Ursa Major

Took a picture of the Big Dipper last night, i was actually trying to get a lightning shot but ended up with Ursa Major....can you see it?

Wine Event

Tonight is the First Annual Wine Tasting event held in conjunction with the CityLakers and Townies. We have each (except Spencer- he chose a brewery!) chosen a local winery from the Niagara Wine Trail. I have Honeymoon Trail. I thought you might enjoy a picture of my display.

I have chosen two reds and a white. I generally do not do red's but these two are suppose to be excellent- so we will try them both. Notice the lovely hand towel recently received. It will be perfect for tonight. Stay tuned for details. I can't wait to see what everyone else has in store for us tonight.

This is what it looked like north of Spencerville on the 4th of July. The 12 inch shell is waiting to go and some of the grand finally from our seats near the ball diamond. Great show as usual from Rog and his crew.

weird wednesday

Went to the cottage tonight and watched this storm approach...only got a few drops of rain from it though.... hope next week is dry and calm.

Trip to Park City, Utah

This was some of the cool stuff that we did during our trip to Park City, Utah, site of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. This was the bobsled run...we finished slightly behind the girls, who had the best time of the day...59:75...our finish was 1:01:06...but...we didn't have the stud pushing us that they had...ME! It was a cool trip, and I would bet that if you really loved winter and winter sports, this would be the place to go...however, being a guy that HATES winter...well, you know the rest!

Boating day

We took a nice ride with Mike & Faith on Friday in their new boat. Can anyone guess the famous city in the backround?

4th of July show

Rich put on a fireworks show over the lake Saturday night. We had a nice view from Spencerville with a waxing crescent Moon to the lower right of Saturn in this shot.

What a tool

The circular saw and the level are important tools for attaching knotty pine boards to inside of outpost #2.
