first test post

Not Sure What the Big Deal Is?

This bell would be really cool if it didn't have this big crack in it! Why don't they try to fix it? (That is "subway Ray in the background!)

Captain makes the call

Scotty called the airbase to commend the pilots on a sucsessfull mission.

Flare Drop

Chief Scott was able to give us the heads up on a top secret mission over Lake Ontario near City Laker country tonight. Two C-130 Hercules were Dropping Flares directly in front of outpost #2. I was able to obtain a video of this mission that you can watch here:
Check it out, pretty cool.

Matt comes home for the weekend

Matt came home for his brother Ben's high school graduation and stopped at outpost #2 for a visit. Unfortunately I didnt get any pictures of Matt but the Water Vixen made a few new friends. Played a few quick games of beer pong and flip cup before calling it a night. Glad we have a full bottle of Advil for the morning.

This is a City Laker

Doing what all good City Laker's should do

Enough is Enough

Captain E is here to point out that the name of this Blog is "The City Lakers". There have been a rash of postings lately that relate exclusively to Spencer's childhood. I think you need to start a splinter blog under the name of "The World of Spencer Nostalgia".

A Really Nice Evening on Lake O

There was a deer on the bank just seconds before this picture was snapped...but Annette couldn't get the camera out of the holster quick enough...so all she was able to get was the rest of us...sorry!

Sunday night sky

The Moon and Venus made an appearance tonight shortly after sunset. Cool sky to end the Fathers day weekend.

strike a pose

Doesnt even look like their hair is messed up after that run!

High speed pass

Aunt Denise (AKA: WaterVixen) took Sarah and Ashleigh for a spin on the Sea-Doo today while they were at outpost 2 celebrating Fathers Day. Turned out to be a real nice day with lots of sun and smooth waters. Coach and Ginger kayaked down & Spencer and Woe Sea-doo'd down. Lisa would have came but she is in Texas.

"The Ramp"

Finished the Sea-Doo launch ramp on Sunday afternoon. Worked most of Saturday and Sunday installing the boards, marine slides and the lower section that pivots. With the help of Spencer we gave it the first test launch and recovery. Everything worked perfect except for the bad spark plug on the Sea-doo. Good thing I had a spare set of plugs in stock to fix that small problem. Ramp works great and the Sea-Doo runs smooth, now lets hope for calm water and south winds.

International space station

Spotted the Spacestation Tuesday night in the Western sky just to the left of Venus. Looked cool as it sped by at 17,500 mph.

Remember the Alamo?

Spencer remembering the Alamo with the girls! He left the girls and the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas. It was Africa hot!

what is going on here?!

There appears to be some suspicious activity at the most recent Friday night Frat Party! Coach has better keep a close eye on his Ginger Baker..

Minimum Vectoring Altitude

Rob gave us another mini airshow Saturday afternoon with a few nice low passes. We just finished dropping in the new sea-doo ramp at outpost 2 when the show started. Ramp pictures will be posted soon so be sure to keep an eye on this blog!

Happy Friday

It was a perfect night for a kayak ride as you can see by these two happy paddlers. The lake stayed calm all weekend and is warming up fast. Its almost 60 degrees already, not bad for the first weekend in June.
