Check out this wicked new laser pointer obtained from China. Turned out to be another nice Saturday night at the campfire, we even got a look at the space station wiz past at 10:17pm.

Spotted the Spacestation Tuesday night in the Western sky just to the left of Venus. Looked cool as it sped by at 17,500 mph.

Minimum Vectoring Altitude

Rob gave us another mini airshow Saturday afternoon with a few nice low passes. We just finished dropping in the new sea-doo ramp at outpost 2 when the show started. Ramp pictures will be posted soon so be sure to keep an eye on this blog!

Happy Friday

It was a perfect night for a kayak ride as you can see by these two happy paddlers. The lake stayed calm all weekend and is warming up fast. Its almost 60 degrees already, not bad for the first weekend in June.

Low Flyer

Our high tech advanced early warning radar spotted this low flying Fixed Wing Single Engine 1946 CHAMPION model 7AC owned by some fellow named Mike from Albion. This plane has an average cruising speed of about 90 mph but it appeared to moving much slower. Probably in attempt to slip under the radar. I had just enough time to grab the camera and capture this shot.

Memorial Day deck party

Had a few beers at Spencerville over the Memorial day weekend. From left to right: Coach, Spencer, Ginger Baker,Lisa, Water Vixen, me, Capt-E, Meggers and Angel Fish. Turned out to be a nice weekend, not as hot as 2006 but fun was had by all. Took this shot with my remote control.

Life support

Sabres finally gave us a win over Ottawa last night giving us a slim chance at Lord Stanley's cup. If we win the series it will be the first time a team has come from 3 games down to win since 1975.

Sunday night calm down

Saw another nice Sunday night sunset with a super calm lake. It almost turned into Saturday night but we are saving that for next month.

Game Winner

We took Hockey night @ Hugh's to the next level last night with a overtime win over the NY Rangers. Max Afinogenov scored a power-play goal 4:39 into overtime to cap Buffalo's come-from-behind 2-1 win, the real hero was Chris Drury who forced overtime by scoring with under eight seconds remaining. I wish I had a picture of Coach's face after this goal-priceless!

This is what John Mayer looked like on stage Saturday night at HSBC arena. Denise Megan and Sharon went, they said he rocked the house!

First group shot of 2007

Went to Coach & Ginny's place for the Sabres game Friday night. Thanks to Jeanne we were able to get this nice group picture inbetween the first and second period. Sabres won and eliminated the Islanders in 5 games.

Easter eve

The Angel Fish shows off some colorfull eggs from the annual Easter eve egg-stravaganza at Spencers house. Justin and Janelle stopped over too, later we spun the dradle and tossed back cold brewski's till the cows came home.

Cottage Show Warriors

True Warriors! Yes we were. Took the big trip to Toronto for the annual Sring Cottage Life Show along with 32,000 other cottagers! It was an easy trip over thanks to "Danquest" and we arrived without incident.

After 4 1/2 hours of doing the cottage show shuffle the vixen could take no more!

We stopped at the duty free on the way home and stocked up on vodka, we are now ready for cottage season.

St.Patricks Day

Went to O'briens Irish pub in Medina Saturday night for some green beer. Denise supplied the little green shot glasses and Roger gave fake tatoo's !

Sabres tooth

We saw Al & Shirley at the Sabres game , do you think they knew I took their picture?

We got to sit near Sabre Tooth Friday night as the Sabres beat Montreal 8-5. Mike & Faith made us go with them and sit at center ice. They were selling cold 24 oz Blue Lights right near our seats too!

Trail groomer

Got to help Tim groom the trails on Saturday. This is what the snowmobile trail groomer looks like in case you never saw one. I got to ride facing backwards so i could raise and lower the groomer drag thing that actually flattens out the bumps with cutter blades ,they sort of slice the tops off each bump on the trail. Then a big flat pan smashes the snow down flat on the trail. I had a pretty important job because if i didnt raise the drag at the correct time we could have groomed the pavement right off the roads we crossed! We still have almost a full month of winter to enjoy and there is plenty of snow on the trails for all you snow lovers out there....see you on the trails!!

Big Storm

9:30pm and we already have about 3" in the driveway- more on the way though

Sno-mo drinking

Took a nice snowmobile ride today, left from the Cornerstone and headed out to Mike & Faith's house (see above) picked them up and headed north to Pour Boyz on Transit for food and cold drinks (beer,white russians,vodka and so-co) then headed home. Trails were nice and the sleds ran great....don't you wish it snowed all year long!

Celebration

We ventured out into the sub zero temperatures Saturday night to celebrate our friend Claudia's birthday (which is really this Friday!). Visited the Diamond star, minus Spencer. Listened to Flying Blind blues band- pretty good- but not The Headers! On a positive note- the harmonica player turned his tambourine over to the Vixen in record time!

Sabres Game

We got to see the Sabres beat Boston from the cheap seats. We actually shared this luxury suite with 16 other lucky fans. Our friend Brian Cos was nice enough to have the fridge packed with my favorite beer and ordered enough food to feed half the arena. I'm hoping to get invited back, perhaps to a playoff game or two. Sabres won the game 6-2.

Finally some snow

Just enough snow for a nice ride to Sanborn the for a quick beer at "the marlboro". I'm glad we stopped because you can smoke cigs at the bar! Next time we go im taking a fresh pack. I want everyone to pray for more snow, we need it.

Party at the frog hair

Had a really nice Christmas party at "the frog hair", almost everyone tried golfing in the simulator rooms....even the water vixen! Doesnt Steve have nice teeth!

Ice storm

Everything got a coating of during this ice storm on January 15th, took this shot behind the bodyshop, thought it looked cool. Hoping for snow soon instead of ice.

Local Floridians

These three boys were nice enough to take a second to pose for a quick shot with Spencer and the Denise while we waited outside of the local ice cream parlor. The 3 mentioned being hungry for some ice cream after a long night of hitting the books for some upcoming exams at school. Allmond Joy

We went to Conchy Joe's for lunch last week we were relived to see our reliable old vessel the "Allmond Joy" was still there. As you can see by the photo on the left someone was nice enough to move it up onto the beach farther, probably so it wouldnt get a scum line on the hull. The photo on the right was taken in 2005 when it was obviously in much better condition. We are looking for donations to make it sea-worthy again, post your name and credit card info in the comments section if your interested.

Happy New Year from Florida!

After a long night celebrating the New Year the "Water Vixen" was ready for a long nap. We had a fun Night aboard the "City of Fredericksburg" cruise boat that took us down the St.Lucie river. We had live music and plenty of food and drinks, we even met a dude that owned a Dodge dealer in Florida! I hope everyone had as much fun ringing in 2007 as we did.

Christmas Eve Eve

This is what happens when you go to the Pizza Plant two hours before the Headers start playing and start pounding pizza and beers like they are going to run out. This is my new friend Claudia who sent me these pix from Saturday night...Christmas Eve Eve. The Headers crank! We are now Roadies for the Headers! They are playing at Attitudes on January 27th. Hope they don't allow smoking in the bar!

More Florida Decorations

If I could only talk Angel Fish into this kind of decoration here, it would make Christmas that much less stressful! This is the kind of tree we should get every year!

Florida Decorations

Here is a typical Florida house decorated for Christmas. It is strange seeing Palm Trees with Christmas lights. This house happens to be Ernie's (the cop) house. His wife and daughters decorated it from about 8:00-11:00 PM. It was pretty fun to watch them from accross the street.

Went to the Sabres game last night with Mike-n-Faith, We won in a shoot-out 4-3! Shoot outs are cool, it was my first live shoot out game ever. Daniel Briere scored the lone goal in the shootout, No wonder his jersey brought in alot of cash at the auction last Saturday!

Wind storm

It was very windy last night in Lockport, so windy it blew the roof clean off the pro shop at the county golf course. I sure hope Tom's office wasnt in that part or he is going to be a tad chilly this winter!
